ScamCheck is a free community service from TeamAdler that provides simple, informational reviews of suspicious messages.

Informational Only

ScamCheck is not legal, financial, law enforcement, or cybersecurity advice. It is not a cybersecurity incident-response service. The results may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

Scams and legitimate messages can be difficult to identify. ScamCheck may miss warning signs, flag a legitimate message, or provide an uncertain assessment. You are responsible for your own decisions and actions.

Do Not Submit Sensitive Information

Do not submit passwords, Social Security numbers, banking information, credit card numbers, medical information, or other sensitive personal information.

Submitted Content

By forwarding or submitting a message, you understand that ScamCheck may send the submitted message text and basic sender/header context to its configured AI provider, currently OpenAI, for automated analysis. ScamCheck also stores limited content and metadata temporarily so it can respond, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse.

Misuse

Do not use ScamCheck to send spam, harassment, malware, illegal content, or messages that violate the rights of others. Abuse or misuse is not permitted and may result in blocking or other protective action.
